Hey all, i just wanna take a moment to display my gratitude for everything. Assuming this site wont be up much longer this could be your last chance to hear our minds, although it seems no one has written in a while, then again, there hasnt been a kiev in a while. In all truth kievan-rus doesnt exist. Or so it seems. It only started cuz we needed a name to put on TV, but it also was the end of kiev. Anyways. I wanna say thanks to the girls Anna, Maia, Taylor because it was crazy! we didnt even know each other until the band and then we were able to become so close because of a common tie. The Parents because they ran around trying to do everything when they felt it was their time to help and although it was chaos at times, such is life. The clubs, so supportive and welcoming for 3 young girls that were confused and not sure where to leave their stuff and how to set it up. The Audience, you made it so much fun just for: showing an interest, dancing because you felt like it, or showing up, taking and look and leaving. Check out the Ithaca Journal on Friday for info on what went down with us and how its coming up with something new.

ouch, my toe hurts. This Helsinki deal is crazy, we have two bands opening for us....kiev is the feature !?!? Pretty exciting. For all of you that cant make it 3 hours and 15 minutes out of Ithaca, Helsinki is an awesome club, really well decorated, chic etc. As i recall lots of purple, but we are going to have to tone down our music so that we dont break the windows and run out the nice people trying to eat.
to switch topics quickly, Kiev is working on some new stuff and trying desperately to pull together some old stuff. 'Not okay,' sometimes known as 'sugar in the wound' is actually a good song. who knew??
and now, this is a tribute to the best song in the world....

not to motivated to type a deep and/or profound blog right now because i just descovered candy in the other room and thats where i belong as of now. update with kiev: we are going on a semi-break from gigs for a month or so. If this upsets you, i apologize but its time for some new music...while this is going on, we are going to do a bit of promo, sending demos to radio stations, getting out cds to people and to stores etc.

oy vey! after days of trial and error i finally figured out my blogger username...it was a lot simpler than i expected. So i guess im a bit behind, i should give a follow up on the Vans Warped Tour. WELL! lets just say touring aint ma thang.
We played a great set, good audience, made some sweet connections with this dude Bo Funk and Girls Garage wants us to tour. So all in all, it was a positive thing, however, woah! twas quite loud and full of people.
I read this article about the tour where it said one band was kicked off cause they realized that its all about merchandising and its really a scene for kids that wanna look like punks. So anyway, the band was bad talking the tour so they got a foot to the ass. Everything they said was the truth, but they firgured it out too late. I dont think i could stand to be on a tour like this.
Sure its a sweet deal, $20-$30 and you hear a shit load of awesome bands all day, its crazy, and the only way for the musicians to make cash is by selling CDs, shirts, punk-wear...
enough of that. since i probably wont write for a while ill get everything out here.
The tour brought us all these new fans, its awesome, you guys are great, so this is my "shout out" to you all.
currently im visiting family in the magical city of Chicago. I get back soon and i cant wait, weve got 2 shows coming up really soon. We should start using ear plugs, and you audience people should too. So many musicians have hearing problems and that really blows. I dont wanna turn into a beethoven at this age, im no where near talented enough.

ha! changed! (the time of this log) its a tid bit past my bedtime i suppose but after all it is summer. Curfew, bedtime, oh psha! They can *the following statement was deemed inappropriate*...wait a minute....I actually just wanted to write to point out that fact that the last few words under the topic of "favorite person, places, things" did not come from me alone, i admit to being a little sketchy, and spontaneous, but not to that extent. Half of the stuff typed there was Colin. now that you all know the truth i can sleep soundly until my 9:15 dentist appointment. oh joy! im bubbling with excitement. if only it was sooner. :-$ what a great smily face.
