SAFETY! DOOR KNOB!
I've realized it takes a lot to advertise for a show in the dead of winter! So with that said, if you ever come across a flier advertising for a show, please understand how much pain and suffering it took to tape up! Just the other day my friend Anna and I (Yes, Anna is BACK from New Zealand. And we are all VERY excited to have her home! ) Went posting fliers around town and found our fingers and toes numb to the point of no return. I'm not sure if I have the feeling back in my right index finger, but you've got to do what you've got to do!
Right now, I'm in a really awesome mood. I found a new band called 'The Bravery' and they've got this song called 'Unconditional' and I really dig it. Just my two cents for the day :)
I also was on the phone with a lot of people this evening. I phone my friend Steve and chatted for a good hour or so. It was really nice to talk to such a sweet guy. I swear, he is one of the nicest genuine people you will ever come across! I also got off the phone with my Grandparents and Aunt who live in Vancouver, and I was so stunned to find out how happy and supportive they are for Kiev. It makes me blush. I won't lie! They were excited about the Coke deal, and I gushed with joy! It's not a matter of being excited to have our faces on TV more than it is to make my grandparents happy! I know it sounds a bit cliché, but in all honesty it makes me more excited to have my brother talk about Kiev to one of his friends, than to have a 60 second spot. So, take what you want from that!
I think we've held it in long enough, and trying to avoid the subject of Coke would be pointless. These past few days we've been busy working with some of the best people on the planet. Kiev has been extremely lucky to have such an amazing cast on our side and we thank each and every one of them with the bottom of our hearts. Here would be a great time to thank everyone, but since my mind is numb when it comes to memory, I won't name names at this time! But expect a warm hug in the near future.
Hope everyone's holidays were spent with family and friends, and I wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Does Polly want an mp3? Because I've got a few! I've been watching Subterranean lately and discovered a few songs that really stuck with me! Check them out however you can!
First off I would like to explain how amazing this song is in particular. Actually I can't because it's that good! It stands out more than any other tune. Period. Plus the video is top notch!
The French Kicks- Trial of the Century(http://www.frenchkicks.com --> Click on the free mp3!!! Score!)
Trust me, it will hit a sore spot in your heart! So watch out! It's highly addictive!
Then there’s:
Bloc Party- Staying Fat (killer drums, and what a disco beat!)
Bloc Party- Tulip (Damn!)
Futureheads- First Day (They almost sound like The Cars, but not. Do I know what I'm talking about? Not really.)
Arcade Fire- Rebellion (They kick so much ass my bum is black and blue!)
The Libertines- Death on the Stairs (I got their old album 'Up the Bracket' and I enjoy it very much!)
Mmm take your pick!
RACE RICARDO RACE! RACE!
The Holiday's are just around the corner and sneaking up on us quick! I know I'm the least bit prepared for the fun to begin. Damn I haven't even decorated and I don't think my family is planning on it either. Speaking of Holiday's, I decided to splurge early and bought a $10 remote control mini cooper from Radioshack. And it kicks ASS. It's red with a black and white checkered top...it's the shit. Last weekend I decided to stay in for the night and made killer obstacle courses only 'Ricardo The Red Mini' could do! That including 4 inclined planes, a monster of a jump and parallel parking. Everyone who's someone is going to get one this year. I'm buying everyone a mini cooper. Doesn't that sound nice?
Currently Kiev is hosting two shows this month and need to have a KILLER turnout! We haven't played an all age show, well in ages! (Ha, no pun intended) It's about time we get back to playing an 'everybody is welcome to come' show. Plus we miss the normal crowd and I'm certain it's going to be good. Heck, we might even throw you a surprise. Can anyone say party hats? I'll bring the scrabble board!
Here are the details of the shows! Everyone please try and make it out! It's a party and you're all invited!
(The acts are in order and if you click on the link you can listen to a few of the bands online! Oh technology!)
