Not just yet...
I just got some exciting news. (I'm typing this and Maia hasn't even heard it, so consider yourself lucky!) Kiev was asked to play at the Knitting Factory by Gina Young (a wonderful artist herself) in NYC! Yay! I guess we aren't slowing down just yet. So, for those who would like to watch an exciting show, join us at the Knitting Factory Oct 19! Then again, these plans are still in the rough, so if it doesn't work out for some strange reason don't get your undies in a knot. Kiev is still going strong!
Quiet before the storm...
Well, Kiev is in a dry patch right now. We're super busy with starting school and all, but the music has not been forgotten! I guarantee it! We were discussing what we should do for the next coming weeks and feel taking a month off to write new material (project #2? We'll see...;)and actually try to get good would be a splendid idea. After all, we want to put on a quality show every time we play and feel we owe it to the people! ("Do it for the Rock and Roll"- Park Doing)
But, if we were to play shows anytime soon, they would be 'big' shows. Maybe more Chapter Houses and places outside of Ithaca. (Speaking of which there is a show with The Witching and The Charms [A Band from Boston] 23rd 9:00) We need to start becoming better music ans, we just can't avoid it! So, give us some time, and we're sure to put on a show that will blow you to pieces.
Oh, and a live version of some of our newer songs (Butterfly, The Riot song...) should go up on our site sometime soon. So keep an eye out for that! (Just a taste of what's to come) I'm out!
