We kiev chicklings had an interview today with this bloke, Bill (who I met, compliments of my job and the ammount of time spent roaming the commons) who's starting an ithaca music zine called Cobalt. After shit like this, I'm always floored about how cool people are and the interest they take in us. Here's this really cool guy with (36) awesome tats, a fine passion and taste for good punk, and an ambition to give the Ithaca music scene a focal point and he was there-- sipping his wownet coffee--devoting an hour to talk to us. I'm stoked (YES INDEED THE GIRL IS STOKED!) for the release of this rock-soaked zine...Apparently should come out in a couple weeks. I wanna briefly give some extra love to all the kickass people who I've made acquaintance with through Kiev (see also the witching, park doing, greg graffin, bill, castaways soundguy, etc etc).
Why so loving today, do we ask ourselves? Perhaps the fact that Kiev is going to play the knitting factory in 2 weeks? Or maybe that she's going to see Flogging Molly in Niagara Falls tomorrow? Hmm...maybe it's just that she has a 4 day weekend coming up shortly. The world may, in fact, never know.
